The dropdown menu provides examples derived from various sources: Weblicht, Penn Treebank, Stanford parser, and PAISÀ.
The branches can be drawn as curves, diagonal lines, or horizontal and vertical lines. The diagrams can be laid out as pure dendrograms, pure trees, or a hybrid of the two. Clicking on a node will toggle whether its descendants are displayed or collapsed.
You can search for nodes in the diagrams. Node search terms are regular expressions, so NP will match any node containing "NP", while ^NP$ will match only "NP" nodes. You can also search for paths in the diagram, by specifying a (top down) sequence of nodes, separated by spaces. A * can be used within a sequence as a wildcard. If there is more than one path, you can highlight them successively by using the left and right arrows.
